Join the Metro NY Section for what is by far one of the most beautiful times of year for climbing in the Gunks. The campground usually closes in November, so come celebrate the end of the season. Climb, hike, bike and/or partake in any of the numerous activities in and around the Preserve. On Saturday evening we will show Dirt Bag The Legend Of Fred Beckey. This documentary celebrates the life and legacy of the original “dirtbag” mountaineer, who died last year at 94. Come meet new friends, climbing partners and check out this awesome film.

This is an informal event and each member/party is responsible for reserving a site, providing their own food, camping & climbing gear. We will organize a pre-film communal dinner Saturday night for those who are interested. Public transportation to New Paltz is available and we will assist with setting up ride-shares where possible.
