Brigitte Weston
Member Since / Volunteer Since: Brigitte has been volunteering since 2008
Home Crag: Moore's Wall via Cougar Canyon in Canmore, AB...prior to that Marche les Dames in Belgium!
Favorite Places to Climb: Dentelles de Montmirail, Verdon Gorge, les Calanques, Fountainbleau, Canmore, AB, Linville Gorge, Stone Mountain, Table Mountain, Looking Glass
Climbing Claim to Fame: "Sadly I have no claim to fame besides this volunteer wall of fame—for feeding 30 - 40 hungry climbers in one evening. I was a late bloomer, having climbed once outdoors (just outside of Ottawa, Canada) in 1983 (plus three years of caving) and then not again until I moved to Belgium in 1998 where I climbed on weekends along the Meuse river or at Fountainbleau just outside of Paris. I started my first Alpine adventure (summiting Mt Baker) in 2010. My claim to community service was rescuing a fellow climber/trekker from the Patagonia icefield (Argentina) down through the glaciated Marconi pass to Rio Electrico where we were met by a local rescue party (excellently organized by Fitzroy Expeditions) who assisted us to El Chalten."
