Scott Fischer Memorial Conservation Grant

The American Alpine Club established the Scott Fischer Memorial Conservation Fund in memory of Scott Fischer, who lost his life on Mount Everest in May 1996. The purpose of this grant is to help fund environmentally proactive expeditions to mountain regions throughout the world.

The application deadline is March 1st. No late applications accepted and awards are around $300.

How to Apply:

Applications must be submitted electronically via an emailed Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) attachment. Scanned signatures must be inserted within the submitted proposal. Proposals submitted without signatures on both the waiver and grant application will not be accepted. Please submit relevant photos of your objective along with your application.

Thomas Prigg. Will lead a team to sail from Newfoundland in a Viking Boat to climb floating icebergs. The experience is to be filmed in a four part series, starting a new education initiative and raising money for environmental organizations for the preservation of the environment.
