AAC Members can enjoy the same discounted access to the Canadian Hut System as "Hut Upgrade" members of the Alpine Club of Canada do!
As a membership benefit, AAC members have the option to purchase the Canadian "Hut Upgrade" for only $24 USD. This upgrade gets you the same discounts enjoyed by Alpine Club of Canada members (who have purchased the same stamp) at their Canmore Clubhouse (including the self-contained Boswell Cabin) and at their national back country huts. The Canadian hut system consists of over 20 of the most climbing and backcountry skiing friendly locations in North America.
These backcountry huts range from remote bivi shelters at the base of distant mountains to log cabins with casual approaches in the Rocky and Selkirk Mountains of Alberta and British Columbia. All of these facilities offer rustic hospitality in Canada's most popular mountain environments. Find solace in a storm, respite after a long day's hike, or simply a quiet mountain refuge for a few days of solitude. Whatever your reason for visiting an Alpine Club of Canada hut, we're sure that you'll enjoy your stay.

The Hut Upgrade rate at most of the Canadian huts and clubhouses is $25 (Canadian)
Hut Upgrade rates are available to current AAC members who purchase the Canadian Hut Upgrade.
Separate rates apply to the Bill Putnam (Fairy Meadow) Hut, Kokanee Glacier Cabin, and the Elizabeth Parker Hut.
Please note that reservations for any of these shelters must be booked through the Alpine Club of Canada. Reservations are required at all Alpine Club of Canada facilities. Upon purchasing the upgrade, you may make reservations up to one year in advance. Reservations are made through the national office at the Canmore Clubhouse.
The national office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday — Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
