International Climbers' Meet
—American Alpine Club seeks climbers to join the 2015 International Climbers' Meet—
The American Alpine Club would like to extend an invitation to participate in the annual International Climbers' Meet (ICM). At least two years' experience of technical rock climbing, experience with placement and removal of protection, and the ability to follow sustained 5.8 granite is mandatory. The ICM is held the week of Sept 27th - October 3rd, 2015 in Joshua Tree National Park, California. The goal is to host a diverse group of climbing abilities from a multitude of countries, and American Alpine Club members from all parts of the U.S.A.

Application and fee received by July 20th: $435 USD per person.
Application and fee received after July 20th: $485 USD per person
Your fee includes:
- Seven nights and six days camping at Joshua Tree Lake Campground (campground includes: showers and WI-FI).
- Three organic catered meals per day by Sierra Gourmet Catering
- Six days of climbing in world renowned Joshua Tree Climb with participants from around the globe and knowledgeable locals
- Evening entertainment includes slide shows, films, trips to hot springs, and the Star Show by Southern California Astronomy
- For those who take the bus from LAX airport to Palm Springs, pick up Sept 27th

Schedule of evening events:
Sunday: Participants arrive at Joshua Tree Lake Campground
Monday: Introductions of participants. Slide show on Joshua Tree climbing by longtime locals.
Tuesday: Trip to the town of Desert Hot Springs for a soak in hot pools.
Wednesday: Internationals show off their home area with a 10 minute presentations.
Friday: The Star Show. Southern California Astronomy employs high definition video cameras with telescopes to project a tour of the sky on to a movie screen. Full moon, Jupiter, and Saturn will be the focus of the evening. Theater located at the campground!
Saturday: Closing party with live music*
