Domestic Rescue Benefit

In addition to the Global Rescue Trailhead Rescue Service, the AAC provides a Domestic Rescue Benefit to assist AAC members in paying out-of-pocket rescue costs.  The Domestic Rescue Benefit is limited to $5,000 per person per year and $10,000 per rescue if there is more than one AAC member requiring rescue.

In order to qualify for reimbursement, the rescue must be:

(1) Certified by a licensed medical professional to prevent serious imminent bodily harm, injury or death;
(2) Located in the United States of America (does not include Canada or Mexico)
(3) Must be beyond the trailhead. See the exclusions below.

Filing A Reimbursement Request:

  • Date and location of rescue
  • Rescue or evacuation provider business name phone number and contact
  • Medical facility name, location and licensed medical professional contact information
  • Proof of payment of rescue services

    B. the member was intoxicated;

    C. the member is traveling against the advice of a physician, while waiting for treatment, or is traveling for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment;
