WAYS TO BE AN ALLY TO GRIEF IN YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY:

  • Check out our psychoeducation and the mental health directory to be better educated and equipped to integrate grief and trauma for yourself and your friends and family.

  • Organize an event for your community (Email us for support):

    • CGF resiliency workshop

    • CGF Grief and Trauma workshop

    • CGF Post-incident Webinar/Call-In

  • Write an old-school letter or email to an individual that you know is going through a hard time.  Tell them what you appreciate about them and remind then you care about what they are going through.

  • Share, watch and learn from interviews with our community members in our Story Archive Project.

  • Host a gathering or council with those impacted by a difficult event (Find council guidelines here).

  • DONATE !

  • Hang our CGF Flyer in your local gym or gear shop! (Download here).

  • Fundraise and Spread the Word:

    • Share about CGF and your connection to our mission via your network and social media channels.

    • Begin a personal fundraiser campaign.  Examples include:

  • Add to our Mental Health Directory 

  • Share your story with us

    • Submit a grief or loss-related writing (essay, poetry etc) to our Story Archive project

    • Recommend another climber’s blog or writing to add to the Story archive

  • Let us know what you appreciate about our work and/or how we can do better.

  • Research and inform us of funding sources/mental health grants of which we may be unaware.
