  • American Alpine Institute offers a 10% discount to AAC members on Glacier Skills and Crevasse Rescue, Alpinism 1 and 2, Baker Skills and Climb, and Alpine Mountaineering and Technical Leadership 1. AAI also offers a 5% discount on Alpine Ice, Tech Rope Rescue Comprehensive, Self Rescue for Climbers, Outdoor Rock Intensive, and Lear to Lead.   • American Avalanche Institute (AAI) has been offering a systematic approach to backcountry travel since 1974. AAI teaches courses to beginning recreationists, introducing basic concepts for avalanche hazard mitigation and travel techniques in avalanche terrain, as well as to industry professionals – including ski guides, ski patrollers, and avalanche forecasters. Our avalanche training curriculum is a progression, where each course builds on knowledge gained from the previous course.   • Backcountry Babes is a women owned and operated guiding business. Our mission is to create educational and valuable experiences in the outdoors for women, with a focus on backcountry skiing and splitboarding.   • Beverly Mountain Guides 10% off if register for BOTH an AIARE Rescue and an AIARE 1 or AIARE 2 Avalanche course. May be used at Taos, NM or Snoqualmie Pass, WA during our 2022 season. Active members should send a copy of their membership card to [email protected] to register.

  • Buena Vista Mountain Adventures leads trips and educational courses for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts. Why take your AIARE Avalanche Course from BVMA? Our small class sizes and awesome local terrain set us apart. We will never have more than 14 students total in a given avvy course. Our classroom instruction is on Main Street in beautiful downtown Buena Vista and our field sessions are only a short 15 minute drive away in the Collegiate Peaks. Add that to our experienced professional instructors and you have the right combination for exceptional training. AAC members receive a 5% discount on AIARE Level I, Level II, and Rescue Courses.

  • The Climbing Life Guides in Joshua Tree offer half or full day technical rock climbing systems instruction or guided rock climbing adventures in Joshua Tree National Park. Ever since our founding in 2013, we have been providing quality rock climbing guiding services in Joshua Tree National Park.  We are happy to offer members of the American Alpine Club a 10% discount on our private guide rates. While we do offer AMGA Single Pitch Instructor courses and exams, we cannot extend the discount towards these programs.   • Denver Mountain Guiding is a local, family-owned, guide service with AMGA trained and certified guides based in Golden, CO. DMG offers a variety of options, including toproping at the local, Front Range crags, multi-pitch climbing in Eldorado Canyon, instructional courses for intro to lead, multi-pitch, trad, self-rescue, fear of falling and much more!   • Devil's Lake Climbing Guides Devil’s Lake Climbing Guides offers guided rock climbing, bouldering, and talus scrambling, as well as instruction in anchor building, lead climbing, rescue skills and wilderness medicine.   • Equinox Guiding Service was founded on the idea that climbing is for everyone. We are a small remote guiding service based in Camden, Maine. Accredited by the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA).   • International Alpine Guides in Truckee, CA offers courses in backcountry skiing and snowboarding, rock climbing, mountaineering, and avalanche education. Current AAC members can receive a 10% discount on courses.

  • Iris Alpine offers AAC members 5% off all climbing clinics. Chicks Climbing, now nearly 20 years old, was established to empower more women to experience the thrill of climbing with women, for women. Provide your AAC membership number when booked to receive the discount.

  • Kaf Adventures prides themselves on a high level of professional instruction, and personalized guided experiences around the globe. Kaf is happy to offer a 10% discount to all current AAC members on all courses. Kaf Adventures is an outdoor education and adventure travel company based in Seattle which provides instructional courses and guided experiences in the art of rock climbing, alpine climbing, avalanche safety, backcountry skiing, and ice climbing, locally, across North America and internationally.

  • Kingdom Adventures Mountain Guides is located in East Burke, Vermont and is owned/operated by an AMGA Certified Single Pitch Instructor. AAC members receive a 10% discount on all courses, including SOLO Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder courses, CPR courses and AIARE Avalanche courses.

  • Longleaf Wilderness Medicine offers the highest quality wilderness medicine education available to individuals and organizations across the country. Regardless of where your outdoor adventures take place, LWM courses prepare you to respond to unexpected medical emergencies in situations where limited resources are available.   • Northeast Mountaineering Join professional mountain guides on a climb in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Up to 20% off many Northwest programs and 10% off select international trips. Please contact them for details.

  • Northwest Alpine Guides / Mountain Gurus offers AAC members a 20% discount on many Northwest programs and 10% on select international trips. We specialize in instructional courses and climbs throughout the Pacific Northwest and high-quality expeditions across the globe.  What is AMGA Accreditation? The purpose of the AMGA Accreditation is to increase the professionalism of mountain guiding and climbing instruction in the United States by functioning as a tool for institutional self-evaluation and development. It is a voluntary means of quality assurance and external review that examines such things as business practices, compliance with state, federal and local regulations, staff training and professional development, resource stewardship, and adherence to current industry standards. This credential represents a commitment to excellence through exemplary operating standards and an adherence to the highest ethical standards of this profession. AMGA Accredited Programs represent many of the nations most recognized and respected guide services, climbing schools, and educational institutions.
