HELP PROTECT OUR WILD PLACES

You can help protect wild places for future generations.
Our goal is to raise $125,000 by December 31.

Your gift will help fund AAC’s Policy Department so we can continue protecting the places you love to ski and climb. We must strengthen relationships with policy makers. We must educate and make our voices heard. And we must do it today, so that our mountains and communities may thrive tomorrow.

We're up against some tough threats— but we know that we're stronger together. Now, more than ever, we must come together to protect the places that cannot speak for themselves. This work cannot and does not happen without you.

Meet Kit

AAC Board Member, skier, climber, and author, Kit DesLauriers is also:

  • The first person to ski off all 7 Summits,
  • A member of The North Face Global Athlete Team,
  • Winner of two consecutive World Freeskiing Championship Titles,
  • Skier of several first descents in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge,
  • And a warrior for our wild places.
A mother of two, I am especially concerned about the future of our mountains and wild places. Will my daughters have the same opportunities to enjoy winter as I have? Will they be able to explore vast and pristine landscapes? Will their children?

I’ve been a member of the American Alpine Club since the 1990s. And today I also donate time as a Board Director because of the AAC’s 115-year commitment to protecting the places I love to ski and climb. The AAC’s policy work today is perhaps more relevant than ever before.
