AAC in your backyard
The American climbing landscape is the most diverse on the planet. From the splitter cracks of the desert southwest, to the iron rock corridors of Hueco Tanks, the high granite walls of the Sierra Nevada, to the steep sandstone walls of the Red River Gorge and everything in between, our regions vary in rock type, culture and community. We celebrate each unique microcosm of climbing by giving members the opportunity to organize into Chapters and Sections.
Every U.S. member lives in an AAC Section contained within a larger Region. Some areas have even taken it one step further by organizing even more locally, in the form of a Chapter. Sections and Chapters can work separately and collectively to connect climbers by organizing social functions, planning climbing outings, funding local grants, holding annual dinners, gathering for service projects at their local climbing areas, and more.
