Alpenglow Expeditions is an AMGA accredited business and is the third largest provider of avalanche education courses in California.   • American Alpine Institute offers a 10% discount to AAC members on its flagship three-, six-, and twelve-day instructional courses in the Cascades. Founded in 1975, AAI specializes in skills courses, expeditions, and private guided climbs throughout the western U.S., Alaska, and all the great ranges of the world. Continuously accredited by the AMGA since 1987.

  • Backcountry Babes is a women owned and operated guiding business. Our mission is to create educational and valuable experiences in the outdoors for women, with a focus on backcountry skiing and splitboarding. We teach avalanche courses in Colorado, California, and New Hampshire, as well as week-long adventure ski trips to British Columbia, Japan, Iceland, Chile and beyond.   • Bear House Mountain Guiding offers a 10% discount to all current AAC members on our group clinics (excluding AMGA programs) and private guided days. BHMG operates along the Wasatch Front in Utah and provides instruction in rock climbing, alpine climbing, backcountry skiing, and ice climbing.   • Beartooth Powder Guides offers AAC members a 5% discount on avalanche courses offered at their location in Cooke City, Montana. Active members should contact [email protected] to receive the discount.

  • Beverly Mountain Guides is the only provider of AIARE Level 1, Level 2, and Companion Rescue Courses in New Mexico, and has been teaching these courses for 15 years. All courses are held at Taos Ski Valley, at the Edelweiss Spa and Lodge. American Alpine Club members can receive a 10% discount when registering for both an Avalanche Course and a Rescue Course.   • Blue Ridge Mountain Guides provides guided climbing and instruction in VA, WV, and NC. AAC members are eligible to receive a 10% discount off private guiding and courses if they call to book and provide proof of membership. Bookings must be made over the phone and the discount requested at the time of booking.

  • Chicks with Picks offers AAC members 5% off all climbing clinics. Chicks Climbing, now nearly 20 years old, was established to empower more women to experience the thrill of climbing with women, for women. Provide your AAC membership number when booked to receive the discount.

  • Colorado Mountain School (CMS) is the premiere mountain guide service and technical mountain school in Colorado and beyond. Founded in Estes Park, Colorado in 1981, CMS has become Colorado’s largest mountain guide service and has been voted the “Best Climbing Guide Service in the Rockies” two years in a row by Elevations Outdoors’ readers poll. CMS is an accredited guide service of the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) and the country’s largest American Institute of Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) course provider!   • Denver Mountain Guiding offers AAC members 15% discount on private climbing instruction courses. DMG guides operate in Colorado with personal climbing instruction and guided trips. Provide your AAC membership number when you book and receive this great value.

  • Devil's Lake Climbing Guides offers rock climbing and technical skills instruction at Devil's Lake State Park in Baraboo, Wisconsin. DLCG offers a 10% discount to all AAC members.

  • Exum Mountain Guides AAC members receive 10% off private one-day summer activities in Grand Teton National Park only. AAC member number must be provided when the reservation is made, and the AAC card must be presented to the office upon check-in or the discount cannot be offered! Offer does not apply to multi-day climbs, Grand Teton climbs (even when done in one day), or Family Climbing Days. Valid June 10 - September 10.

  • High Peaks Mountain Guides in Lake Placid, NY offers Club members a 10% discount on guided trips, discounted lodging at their Guides House, and a discount at their retail store. Lodging discounts vary by season.

  • Northeast Mountaineering Join professional mountain guides on a climb in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Northeast Mountaineering offers 5% off all New Hampshire courses for AAC members, and donates a matching 5% to the American Alpine Club.

  • Northwest Alpine Guides / Mountain Gurus offers AAC members a 20% discount on all our Northwest programs and 10% on select international trips. We specialize in instructional courses and climbs throughout the Pacific Northwest and high-quality expeditions across the globe.  What is AMGA Accreditation? The purpose of the AMGA Accreditation is to increase the professionalism of mountain guiding and climbing instruction in the United States by functioning as a tool for institutional self-evaluation and development. It is a voluntary means of quality assurance and external review that examines such things as busines practices, compliance with state, federal and local regulations, staff training and professional development, resource stewardship, and adherence to current industry standards. This credential represents a commitment to excellence through exemplary operating standards and an adherence to the highest ethical standards of this profession. AMGA Accredited Programs represent many of the nations most recognized and respected guide services, climbing schools,and educational insitutions.
