ETHICS
As a global organization of climbers, we have a responsibility to help protect, restore, and interpret the unique natural and cultural features of the Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site. These features are many and diverse, and are revered by different groups of users for different reasons. They include world- class bird watching, hundreds of Native American pictographs and archaeologic sites, unique desert flora and fauna, historic artifacts from the days of the old western frontier, and perhaps the best one square mile of rock climbing in America, if not the world.

The sports of climbing and bouldering are not governed by strict rules. However, due to the sensitive nature of Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site, we ask all climbers and non-climbers to follow the appropriate behavior below when visiting the park. Please review these standards provided by Climbers of Hueco Tanks Coalition.
